Today’s Special?

We can’t say for sure as our menu is chalked up daily, but we know our chef will be busy cooking up today’s mouth-watering selection of home-cooked favourites from fresh local ingredients. Warming soups and stews, hearty pies, traditional sausage and mash, crispy cod ‘n chips, pan-fried chicken, barberry duck, minted lamb shank and sizzling steaks (our Lancashire hotpot and traditional Sunday roasts are particularly popular).

Not quite that hungry? Then try a panini or ciabatta, generously filled with flaked salmon in dill and yoghurt dressing, cajun chicken, spicy chorizo sausage and melted mozzarella, or pan-fried creamed leeks. Or how about a fresh-based jacket potato with tuna mayo, mushroom, bacon, onion? Or how about… actually why not call in and see for yourself?
